Chris Robshaw
I’ve been involved with Dress2Kill for many years now, initially as a customer and now as both an ambassador and shareholder in the business.
As a rugby player, getting a suit to fit properly isn’t always straightforward. I’ve got broader shoulders and a bigger chest than most off-the-peg suits are designed for, and that’s where having something properly tailored makes such a difference.
What I’ve always liked about Dress2Kill is that Sam and the team understand what works for me. They’ll give you their opinion, they’ll tell you if something isn’t right, but they’ll also make sure the finished suit still feels like you.
They’ve dressed me for some incredibly important occasions over the years, including my wedding, and I’ve always loved the combination of quality tailoring and the relaxed atmosphere of the business.
It’s proper tailoring without any of the stuffiness you sometimes associate with it — which is a big reason I’ve stayed involved with Dress2Kill for so long.

I’ve known Dress2Kill for many years and have always been impressed by the quality of their tailoring and the personal service that comes with it.
Whether it’s for a formal occasion, a day at the races, a charity event or something a little more relaxed, Sam and the team understand how to create clothes that look sharp, fit properly and still feel completely natural to wear.
What I particularly like about Dress2Kill is that they make the whole process easy. They know what works, they’re not afraid to offer an opinion, and everything is tailored around you rather than simply following trends.
I’m delighted to be part of the Dress2Kill ambassador team and proud to represent a British tailoring business that combines traditional craftsmanship with a modern approach to style.

I’ve been a Dress2Kill customer since before Love Island and one of the things I’ve always enjoyed about working with Sam is that he’s not afraid to have a bit of fun with tailoring.
I like clothes with personality and I don’t necessarily want to look like everybody else in the room. Dress2Kill understands that.
Whether it’s a wedding, Cheltenham, a party or another big event, we’ll talk about where I’m going and the look I want to achieve and then build something around that rather than simply picking a standard suit.
Sam will suggest things I probably wouldn’t have considered myself, but he also knows when we’ve gone far enough!
That’s what I like about Dress2Kill. The quality and fit are obviously important, but the whole process is relaxed, creative and personal.
You end up with something that’s genuinely yours.

When you’re involved in professional sport, your build doesn’t necessarily match the proportions that standard suits are made for.
That’s one of the things I appreciate about Dress2Kill. The suit is made around you rather than you having to find something on a rail that’s somewhere close.
Sam and the team understand athletic builds and know how to create enough room through the shoulders, chest and legs while still keeping the suit looking sharp and properly balanced.
I’ve also always enjoyed the atmosphere at Dress2Kill. It’s professional without being formal for the sake of it. You can relax, look through the cloths, talk about what you’re after and trust the team to guide you.
Ultimately, that’s what you want from a tailor — good advice, a great fit and something you feel confident wearing.

I’ve spent enough years around rugby players to know that buying a suit off the peg can occasionally be an optimistic exercise.
That’s one reason Dress2Kill works so well for me.
They understand that making a suit for a bigger bloke doesn’t mean finding an enormous jacket and hoping for the best. Everything is considered properly — shoulders, chest, waist, trousers, length and proportion — so the finished suit actually looks as though it belongs to you.
The other thing I love about Dress2Kill is that they don’t take themselves too seriously.
The tailoring is serious. The quality is serious. The experience isn’t.
You can go in, have a drink, have a laugh with Sam and the team and come out with something that makes you look considerably smarter than when you walked through the door.
That’s very much my kind of tailor.

At 6ft 10in, I’ve never exactly been the easiest person to buy a suit for.
Off-the-peg clothing simply isn’t designed around someone of my proportions, and adding a few inches to the sleeves and trousers doesn’t solve the problem. The whole garment has to be properly balanced.
That’s why working with Dress2Kill makes such a difference.
Sam and the team understand how tailoring should work on an unusual build. Jacket length, lapels, button position, trousers and all the other details are considered together so the finished suit looks balanced rather than simply looking very long.
My work also means I need tailoring for lots of different situations — television, speaking engagements, dinners and formal events — so I want clothes that look smart but still feel comfortable and natural.
Dress2Kill manages that brilliantly.
More than anything, though, I enjoy going in there. It’s friendly, relaxed and completely lacking in the intimidation that can sometimes surround bespoke tailoring.
For someone who’s spent most of his life struggling to buy clothes that fit, having people who genuinely understand your proportions is invaluable.

I’ve been visiting Sam for over a decade now and have always been blown away by the whole D2K experience.
From the moment you step across the threshold, you are treated like a star and the afterglow continues well after you’ve gone with folk consistently commenting on how your sartorial style is off the chart.
From hosting 600+ galas in a white tux, to jackets for events with pals to my wedding suit I have always relied on the team to get it right and they always do.
Sam always ensures the little things are spot on so the big things just land - being 6ft 5 and 19 stone, this means I’m invariably happy when I visit!
